German international Shkodran Mustafi has completed a move from Serie A side Sampdoria to Valencia in La Liga.
The defender signed a contract on Wednesday that will keep him with Valencia until 2019.
Mustafi, 22, was named to the German squad that won the World Cup this summer after Marco Reus was injured. He came in as a substitute in two group-stage games and started in the round of 16 against Algeria.
He will undergo a medical on Thursday morning before being formally unveiled.
Before joining Sampdoria in 2012, Mustafi spent three years at Everton under David Moyes but only made one substitute appearance in 2009 in the Europa League.
