Fredrick Nii Lante Lawson will face fellow Ghanaian compatriot, Ray Narh in a Welterweight bout at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, USA in one of the undercards of the IBF MIddleweight title eliminator between Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam and Curtis Stevens on Wednesday 1st October, 2014.
Undefeated Lawson (22-0, 20 KOs) beat Ugandan-American, Mohammed Kayongo earlier this year
in his first fight after arriving in the US to continue his boxing career after getting a major breakthrough as a sparring partner for Manny Pacquaio in 2013.
Lawson, who has been signed to Kingsports Promotions of California, will have a shot at potential world title eliminator in coming months as indicated in his terms with Kingsport and his first hurdle is the former Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Raymond Narh (26-5, 21 KOs).
They are not the only Ghanaian fighters because 34 year-old Laatekwei Hammond (21-7, 14 KOs) will fight Sergiy Derevyanchenko in a 6-round Middleweight bout.
It will be Hammond’s second fight after he lost his challenge for the New England State Middleweight title to Russell Lamour in June this year.
