Jordan Ayew was the hero for FC Lorient in the French League Cup on Tuesday night as his winner secured his club a place in the quarter final of the competition.
FC Lorient who played away to Jonathan Mensah’s Evian Thonon Gaillard were dealt a blow in the early stages of the game as the home side took a 7 minute lead via Daniel Wass.
Valentin Lavigne quickly scored to put Jordan Ayew and his side level with home side Evian Thonon Gaillard as both clubs went into the interval with a goal apiece.
Jordan Ayew who has been speaking to the media on working for a better him upfront gave a glimpse of what he seeks to be, scoring the winner in the 73 minute to send his FC Lorient side into the next round of the French League Cup with a 2-1 victory.
