Europa League RD of 32: Wakaso’s Celtic to face Inter Milan

Black Stars winger Mubarak Wakaso and his Celtic side will face Italian giants Inter Milan in the Round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League after the draw was done in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday.

Celtic qualified from Group D behind Red Bull Salzburd while Inter Milan topped Group F ahead of Ukraine’s Dnipro.

Wakaso will get the chance to feature in the repeat of the 1967 European Cup final that Celtic won over Inter Milan, then managed by enigmatic Italian Helenio Herrera, in Lisbon.

Christian Atsu and his Everton side will come up against Swiss side Young Boys who have former Hearts of Oak forward Samuel Afum on their roster.

Everton topped Group H ahead of Wolfsburg of Germany while Young Boys were second in Group I behind Napoli. The Italians were given Turkish side Trabzonspor who have Black Stars forward Abdul Majeed Waris.

Waris scored once in the group stages and will hope to get a few more to guide his team in to the last 16.

Frank Acheampong‘s Anderlecht will be up against Dynamo Moscow after falling out of the Champions League due to a 3rd place spot in a group that had Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray.

Holders Sevilla have been paired with Borussia Monchengladbach while Liverpool will face Beisktas of Turkey. Tottenham will play against Fiorentina while Ajax will face Legia Warsaw of Poland.

The Round of 32 matches of the Europa League will be played on the 19th and 26th February, 2015.
