Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga says his outfit is done with Ghana’s budget for the African Cup of Nations.
This comes after a lot of back-and-forth between the Ghana FA and Ayariga’s office about how much should be taken for the competition.
“We will try and finish off the budgetary issues and then put in the request and try and get it out of the system before the second week in January,” he tells Citi Sports.

The GFA is reported with have wanted to base in Abu Dhabi while Avram Grant is said to prefer Spain.
Ayariga: “We are trying to get all this sorted because of the fact that its the end of the financial year.”
The GFA is said to have sent a budget to the Sports Ministry for consideration based on ‘past experience’ with respect to the camping site for the Black Stars.
Ghana have been grouped with South Africa, Algeria and Senegal.
