Another day, another prediction that Algeria will win the Nations Cup. It’s George Leekens this time.

[contextly_sidebar id=”2JWuY7yZ6VGLM5NDduMfog77xCF6JYOd”]After drawing 1-1 with the Desert Foxes on Sunday in a pre-tournament warm up game, the Tunisia boss heaped praise on the starring Algerians.

“Algeria is in the hardest group in this competition, but they’re able to qualify and to win the title in the end,” he told Algerian media.

Algeria play South Africa, Ghana and Senegal in the Afcon in Equatorial Guinea.

Late last month, Tunisia have named a provisional Afcon squad dominated by local players.

Belgian manager Georges Leekens released his list on with 14 squad members playing in the Tunisian Ligue 1. The team started their training camp in Monastir on 2 January.
