Asamoah Gyan and two other players in the Ghana team are suffering knocks, it has been confirmed.

The team has been camping for the past 13 days in Seville and they leave for Equatorial Guinea later on Wednesday.

Briefing the media on the situation, Black Stars management committee George Afriyie gave names of the other knocked players.

“The team has suffered a few knocks in training – the likes of Asamoah Gyan, Frank Acheampong and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu are all nursing knocks. The coach does not want to risk his team against this opponent. This is why the game has been called off. It’s a technical decision,” he told Asempa FM in Accra.

Ghana are expected to touch down in the Equato-Guinean city of Mongomo tonight at 11pm local time.
