Ex-Ghana defender Hans Adu Sapei is closing in on a deal to coach German youth side Haltern Tus.
The 38 year old took to Twitter on Saturday to announce his acquisition of a UEFA license A coaching certificate that allowed him to coach at any level in Europe and the discussions between himself and the club were made public by the club.
“It’s true. We talked with Hans but are still trying to have a mutual agreement on the expectations,” team chairman Christophe Metzelder told German press.
Sarpei was a member of Ghana’s World Cup squads in 2006 and in 2010.
Sarpei has been involved in football even after his retirement in 2012 and his first coaching appointment was with Tus Bruchhausen in 2013.
