Sellas Tetteh Teivi (Head Coach, Ghana):
This is a victory for Ghana. It was a satisfactory result and we worked very hard. We have come a long way but I won’t take anything away from the Malians. They showed how good they are even when they were down by three goals.
We have learnt a lot of lessons competitively. Fortunately, we played against some physical sides at the tournament. We have seen our weakness and strong points.
The African U-20 Championship has always been a preparatory ground for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. With what we exhibited here, with a little effort we should be ready for the World Cup.
Fanyeri Diarra (Head Coach, Mali):
We made a lot of errors and in such high level competitive games, if you make such errors, you will pay for the prize.
It was not a bad performance from my team. I regret that we were not effective and the team was not at its best level.
