Senegal coach Aliou Cisse has called Besiktas forward Demba Ba into the Teranga Lions’ team to face Ghana in an international friendly on the 28th of March in Le Havre in France.

Ba makes a return to the team after he was frozen out by former coach Alain Giresse and current coach Cisse said to the press the team was happy to have the former Chelsea back into the fold.

” He is an experienced player who has some history with the national team. Things have happened in the past with Ba but they are in the past. Today, we want to move forward and erase what is behind us.

I am not doing Demba Ba a favour by calling him up to the national team. It is just a logical step in reuniting Senegalese teams.”

West Ham’s Diafra Sakho is omitted from the team due to his non-participation in the 2015 AFCON.

FIFA sanctioned Sakho and West Ham for his unavailability to his national team under the pretext of injury. But the player featured for his club during the tournament.

Aliou Cisse has given call-ups to debutants Abdoulaye Diallo, goalkeeper for HAC, Diawandou Diagne of Barcelona and Babacar Khouma of Fiorentina.
