Shoulder injury denies Donsah Black Stars debut

Ghanaian midfielder Godfred Donsah is set to forfeit his possible debut for the Black Stars after picking up a shoulder injury on his debut on Saturday for club side Bologna.

The 19 year old had been named as part of Avram Grant’s 24 man squad to face the Amavubi of Rwanda in the Afcon 2017 qualifier after impressing with the U-20’s during the World Cup in New Zealand.

The injury which has been confirmed as a dislocated shoulder occurred in the 55th minute of the match which Bologna went ahead to lose by a single goal.

The injury is expected to keep him out for ten days and will mean that he will miss out on the team’s two exhibition matches against Congo and another local side as well as the qualifying match itself.
