Black Stars head coach Avram Grant has once again left the shores of Ghana to monitor players in Europe as the various leagues wind down but this time with the blessing of the Ghana Football Association.
The Israeli manager left Ghana on Wednesday following the approval as he seeks to strengthen the Black Stars squad ahead of the next batch of Afcon qualifiers.
This was confirmed by the Communications Directorate of the GFA, who explained the coach’s wish to have a look a some fringe players in the team before the leagues round up.
The statement however did not specify a time of return for Avram Grant.
Prior to his latest scouting trip the Black Stars gaffer has come under intense pressure from his employers the GFA and also the local media for his prolonged stays outside the country at the detriment of the local league.
He was compelled to return to the country by the GFA after a two month absence which saw him make an appearance on UK based Sky Sports.
Assistant coach Maxwell Konadu is expected to take over the monitoring of the local league which Grant took up fervently once he returned from England last month.
