Otor Plaha, Public Relations Officer of the Sports Ministry, confirmed to Citi Sports the money had been paid.
“Yes the money has been paid to the ladies for their outstanding against Zimbabwe,” Plaha said
“We still have some monies to pay but the Ministry is working hard to ensure we settle them soon.”
On the issue of the money promised them for the All Africa Games success, Mr Plaha said that was a personal promise from the President and he was certain he would fulfill it in due time.
“That promise was a personal one from the President and I am certain that he will deliver in his own time.”
