Swansea City have joined the race to sign Ghana star Jordan Ayew from Aston Villa according reports in the English media.
This comes just two days after his elder brother Andre left the Welsh side to join West Ham United in a club record transfer of 20.5 million pounds.
With Andre’s wonderful experience at the Welsh side, the Swans are hopeful of convincing Jordan before the end of the month when the transfer window closes.
Jordan joined Villa from Lorient where he had scored an impressive 13 goals for the Ligue 1 side.
Last season, he recorded 8 goals for now relegated Aston Villa and last week, the championship side rejected an 8 million-pound bid from German side Hamburg.
Swansea want to use the good relationship with Jordan’s father, Abedi Ayew, who is currently in the UK to see if they can seal the deal in the coming days.
