As part of their social responsibility initiatives and stakeholder engagement Betway Ghana on 5th and 6th October brought West Ham FC players and officials to Ghana for various engagements.
The online sports betting company brought the West Ham entourage into the country to collaborate with about 20 Ghanaian Premier League coaches at a thought leadership workshop. While the two players interacted with fans, signing autographs and taking photos with them.
West Ham officials took selected local footballers and coaches through some fundamentals of football and coaching at a soccer clinic at the Lizzy Sports Complex at East Legon, on the first day- 5th October 2016.
The players and coaches interacted with a cross section of the mass media at the Lizzy Sports Complex at East Legon in Accra.
The West Ham players Andre and Ashley interacted with some fans, signing autographs for them, at the Betway store at Adabraka in Accra.
West Ham officials shared their learnings with 20 Ghana Premier League (GPL) coaches at a workshop at the Alisa Hotel in Accra on the 6th of October.
Speakers Ashley Kotzin, Steijn Vanderbrouke, Tom Taylor and Magnus Rex Danquah Snr took the coaches through topics such as the coach as a leader, injury prevention, technical development and football business and branding.
The two day event was climaxed with an autograph and photograph session with the West Ham players and fans at the Accra Mall on the 6th of October 2016.
Hundreds of fans stood in line for autograph and photo opportunities with the West Ham players.
