Former Black Stars midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng scored his 4th Spanish League goal of the season for Las Palmas yesterday in their 3-3 home draw with Celta Vigo.

Las Palmas were 3-0 down after 21 minutes but staged a second half comeback to score three times with Boateng scoring the leveler after 68 minutes.

Boateng has been in good form for Las Palmas since joining them in the transfer window after he was released by AC Milan.

His goal on Sunday helped them place 10th on the Spanish League table with 13 points.

Meanwhile, Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew helped Aston Villa to draw 1-1 with Birmingham City in the English Championship yesterday.

Ayew set up Villa’s goal which was scored by Gary Gardner but it was not enough to give them a win as Birmingham found a late equalizer.

Fellow Ghanaian Albert Adomah missed the match due to a leg injury which was confirmed by Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce after the match.

Mubarak Wakaso played 90 minutes for Greek side Panathinaikos in their 2-0 win over Iraklis on Sunday. The appearance was Wakaso’s 5th of the season since joining in the summer and he has a goal to his name.

Baba Rahman was also in action for Schalke in the German Bundesliga over the weekend in their goalless draw with Borussia Dortmund on Friday.

The Chelsea-loanee has played eight league matches for Schalke this season but he is yet to find the back of the net. However, he has scored once in the Europa League for the Royal Blue.
