Ghana defender Daniel Amartey got huge commendation from his club, Leicester City, following their 3-1 win over Derby County in the FA Cup 4th round replay played at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday.
Amartey played in the match which travelled to extra time after it ended 1-1 after 90 minutes.
Andy King put the Foxes ahead but a free kick from Abdoul Kamara sent the match into extra time.
Wilfried Ndidi and Demarai Gray scored to send the Foxes through.
Amartey was praised for putting a great shift despite arriving at the club on the morning of the tie from playing in the African Nations Cup with Ghana.
The “thank you” from Leicester was in the form of a tweet from its official Twitter handle.

Amartey was of Ghana’s outstanding players in the 2017 AFCON and his performances got him a place in the tournament’s best eleven.
He is expected to get into the thick of things for Leicester as they try to fight off relegation in the English Premier League.
They face Swansea City on Saturday in a game which will be live on Citi FM from 3pm.
