Elmina Sharks head coach Kobina Amissah believes his team will do just fine in their debut season in the Ghana Premier League due to the presence of some veterans in the team.
The newly promoted side begin their league campaign with a home match against Aduana Stars at the Nduom Sports Stadium in Elmina.
The Sharks were originally slated to take on defending champions Wa All Stars on opening day but had the fixture rescheduled due to the latter’s involvement in continental football.
“The players are even more motivated than the manager and after the training session, we just had you can tell how mentally prepared they are.
“Kweku Mends who was with Liberty Professionals is a top addition to our midfield.
“Yaw Alexander and Anthony Yerful will all help the project we are trying to build this season.
“They are players that have tasted the Premier League before are set for the showdown against Aduana Stars on Sunday, he told Citi Sports in an interview.
