Great Olympics‘ search for their first win of the new Ghana Premier League season will have to wait after drawing 2-2 in Accra with Elmina Sharks.

The ‘Dade’ Boys had lost 3-1 to AshGold last week and were hoping to put things right and they started well with goals from Abel Manomey who moved to three goals in two league games after grabbing the consolation in the loss in Obuasi.

However, Sharks became very brave and went after the home side.

Ben Tweneboah made 2-1 from close range after connecting to a cut-back from the right-hand side of the Olympics penalty area and Joseph Mensah scored a header from a similar position to level the match.

Asante Kotoko needed a last-minute penalty from Abeiku Ainooson to beat Bechem United 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium. Bechem were returning from their exertions in the CAF Confederations Cup and they almost walked away with a point but they conceded a spot kick in the 84th minute.

Aduana Stars maintained their perfect start to the season after they hammered Bolga All Stars 4-0 at the Agyemang Badu Park.

Zakaria Mumuni, Nathaniel Asamoah, Noah Martey and Tanko Mohammed grabbed the goals on the day for Aduana who stayed on top of the league table with 9 points.

Bolga All Stars are yet to win a game and have already conceded 6 in the two matches they have played so far.

Hearts of Oak were denied a win on the road when they drew 1-1 in Cape Coast against Dwarfs.

Patrick Razak gave the Phobians the lead in the 9th minute but on 47 minutes, Nicholas Gyan found the equaliser and that how the match ended.

The draw was the second for Hearts after splitting points with Medeama in new head coach Frank Nuttal’s first game in charge of the club.

Two goals from Seth Larbi Appiah gave Berekum Chelsea a 2-o win over Liberty Professionals at the Golden City Park. The match was the second at home for Chelsea in three days after drawing goalless on Sunday to Kotoko.

Tema Youth failed to get a second home win of the season when they drew 1-1 with AshGold.

Man of the match Joseph Paintsil scored for Tema Youth and Mumuni Shafiu got the equaliser for the Miners.

In Tarkwa, Medeama and Inter Allies drew 1-1. Bernard Ofori found the net for Medeama while Isaac Osae scored for Inter Allies.
