Manchester United draw Celta Vigo in Europa League semis

Marcus Rashford’s extra-time goal saw United past Anderlecht in the last eight on Thursday, and La Liga’s 10th-placed Celta now stand between Jose Mourinho’s side and a place in the Stockholm final on May 24.

Ajax have been drawn against Lyon in the other semi-final, with both first legs to be played on May 4 and the returns a week later.

The Europa League trophy is the one major absence on United’s record, and victory would also guarantee a place in next season’s Champions League regardless of their finishing position in the Premier League.
