Black Starlets head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, says that he already has an idea of his plans for the 2017U-17 World Cup which will be played in India in October.
Ghana, Mali, Guinea and Niger will represent Africa in the tournament after they made it to the semi-finals of the African Championships in Gabon.
But even before the draw for the tournament is held in July, Paa Kwesi Fabin, has been speaking on his preparations for the tournament.
“Our preparations for the World Cup started when we qualified. We will go for a break for the players to recuperate and then, we will assemble again.
There were players who could not go to the African Championships due to injuries and so, we hope that they will be fine when it is time to get together.
We also have players in some of the academies but they were not released to us due to other commitments. We hope to get all these boys so we can build a formidable team and make an impression at the World Cup.”
Despite failing to win the African Championships, Fabin managed to guide Ghana to the U-17 World Cup for the first time in 10 years.
Back in 2007, Ghana finished fourth after losing to Spain in the quarter finals and Germany in the 3rd/4th place playoff.
