Clinical Ghana international forward Raphael Dwamena has fuelled rumours of a possible move to English Premier League newcomers Brighton by suggesting the deal could happen.
Brighton earlier on Thursday had a £8m bid for the FC Zurich striker rejected with reports suggesting the English club is considering a second bid for the 21 year old.
Dwamena who joined Zurich from Red Bull Salzburg in January scored 12 goals in 18 games for the Swiss side, and has already netted twice this season in just four games.
FC Zurich president Ancillo Canepa has already stressed the club’s desire to keep the player, but Dwamena after Thursday’s Swiss Super League win over Sion remained coy on the subject.
“I have not heard anything yet, I am currently a FCZ player, but it can happen quickly in football. I’m still very young,” he told the Swiss press.
Brighton manager Chris Houghton is very keen on the Ghanaian forward as he seeks to build a team of premier league quality.
