Ghana’s Patrick Twumasi played 90 minutes for Kazakhstan side Astana in their 5-0 loss to Celtic in the UEFA Champions League 3rd round playoff first leg at Celtic Park in Scotland.
Twumasi started on the right of Astana’s attack with DR Congo player and AFCON 2017 top scorer Junior Kalonji Kabananga leading the line.
However, the Ghanaian’s efforts and exertions failed to give his team any goals in the tie leaving them with a lot to do in next Tuesday’s return leg.
The tie was the only barren one for Twumasi in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers after he found goals for Astana in the previous rounds against his former side, Spartaks Jurmala of Latvia, and Legia Warsaw of Poland.
So far, Twumasi has played 23 matches for Astana this season and has 9 goals to his credit.
