Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey, has underlined determination as the secret of his brilliant display against Congo Brazzaville on Tuesday in Brazzaville in the World Cup qualifiers.
Partey found the net once in the first half and twice in the second to help Ghana win 5-1 to move up to 5 points in Group E.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder spoke after the match and expressed his joy at his output for the team.
“I feel happy at the result and I know that with hard work, everything is possible so I try to give my best in every game.”
The goal haul for him moved his count to five in the last three matches for club and country but he paid tribute to his Black Stars team mates for their efforts in Brazzaville.
“We went out there and played as team, worked as a team, and got the victory as a team. We are professionals and so, we had to look past all the distractions following the draw in Kumasi and get the result.”
For Ghana to have a good chance of getting to the World Cup, they will have to beat Uganda and Egypt in the final two matches in the series while hoping that Egypt will fall to Congo Brazzaville and lose in Ghana.
