Ghana’s Thomas Partey was named among the best performers on the African continent after rounds 3 and 4 of the 2018 World Cup qualifying series.
Partey scored four goals for Ghana in their two matches against Congo Brazzaville in Kumasi and Brazzaville and helped the Black Stars get its first win in the series.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder has been become one of the team’s emerging stars and he showed his value with an equaliser in Kumasi and a hat-trick in Brazzaville.
And his contributions were recognised by the Confederation of African Football.
Apart from him, Senegal’s Sadio Mane, Egypt’s Mohammed Salah and Ahmed Hegazy, Tunisia’s Naim Sliti, Nigeria’s Victor Moses and Uganda’s Dennis Onyango were also named as part of the best players from round 4 of the qualifiers.
