Black Stars forward Patrick Twumasi scored the only goal for Astana in last night’s Europa League match away to Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel.
Twumasi found the net in the 57th minute to give Astana all three points and second place in Group A.
Richmond Boakye-Yiadom played 90 minutes for Red Star Belgrade in their goalless draw with Arsenal in London.
The player missed two good chances on the break in the 45th and 80th minutes respectively.
He thanked the team’s fans who were in London to support them through the match.

Alhassan Wakaso also saw 90 minutes for Portuguese side, Vitoria Guimaraes, as they best Marseille 1-0.
The highlight of the match, though, was Patrice Evra’s sending off during the warm-up for aiming a kick at a Marseille fan in the midst of an altercation.
Other Ghanaian players who played in the Europa League on Thursday were Kassim Nuhu of Young Boys of Switzerland and Kadiri Mohammed of Austria Vienna.
Both players lasted the full length of their respective matches.
Earlier this week, Patrick Twumasi, Richmond Boakye-Yiadom and Kassim Nuhu were given call-ups to the Black Stars team to face Egypt on November 12 in Cape Coast in the World Cup qualifiers.
