Egypt international defender Ahmed Hegazi will miss the Pharaohs final World Cup qualifier against Ghana on Sunday due to family reasons.
The Pharaohs will face Ghana on Sunday in Cape Coast having already sealed qualification to the World Cup.
The Egyptian FA announced that the West Brom defender, Hegazi, left Egypt’s training camp for family reasons on Wednesday and therefore will not be available for selection against the Black Stars on Sunday.
Ahmed Hegazi becomes the third high profile Egyptian player to miss Ghana’s game after Mohamed Salah (Fatigue), and Mohamed Abdel-Shafy (Injury) were also withdrawn.
The giant defender has been one of West Brom’s key players this season, featuring 12 times for the Baggies and scoring once in the Premier League.
