Andre Ayew’s goal at Crystal Palace for West Ham in Week 9 of the Premier League has been judged the best Hammers strike for the month of October.
The goal got 39 percent of the fan votes to beat Javier Hernandez’s close-range finish from the same match and another goal from West Ham Ladies player Amber Stobbs.
Ayew picked the ball up from the half way line, run towards the Crystal Palace goal, dribbled Scott Dann inside out and thumped home a left-footed shot past Palace goalie Julian Speroni.
The goal gave West Ham a 2-0 lead but they failed to hold to the end as Luka Milivojevic and Wilfried Zaha scored for Palace to earn a 2-2 draw.
The goal was Ayew’s third of the same week after he grabbed two at Wembley against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup three days earlier.
