GFA spokesperson, Ibrahim Saane Daara, says the FA will put in all its efforts to get a headline sponsor for next season’s Ghana Premier League.
Despite StarTimes being the media broadcast, the FA could not find a main sponsor for the league for the second straight season and this has led to criticisms from various observers including the former Sports Minister, Nii Lante Vanderpuye.
Saane Daara reveals that the FA will work hard to get a main sponsor for the next Ghana Premier League season.
“I will make one promise to all. The promise is that we will work very, very hard to get a sponsor.
However, I cannot make a cast-iron promise that we will definitely get a sponsor for next season.”
Daara went on ahead to answer questions on when the next league season would begin.
“You know that we run a league system which is very different from other countries. We need to speak to all the bodies involved before can talk of a date for the start of the league.
We have had proposals from several quarters on the date for the start of a new league season but we need to finish our consultation but we are happy to know that some teams have started their pre-season training.”
