New West Ham manager David Moyes says he is delighted with the return of forward Andre Ayew for the premier league clash against Leicester on Friday.
Ayew missed Moyes’ first game in charge due to illness last week at Watford, which ended in a 2-0 loss for the Hammers and left the team at 18th place on the table.
The former Man United boss clearly missed Ayew’s quality last week and expects the 27 year old Ghanaian to start against Leicester.
“Andre Ayew missed last week due to illness, and he took a couple of days off to recover and he’s back with us. That is good news for us.
“We need to remain united as a team, and the fans need to continue to support the team, he said.
Ayew joined West Ham in 2016 for a then club record fee of £20.5m, and has been very instrumental for the Hammers this season, scoring 2 goals and providing two assists in his ten appearances.
