Former sponsors of the division one league, GN Bank, look set to become the new sponsors of the National Women’s League after the Director of Group Nduom; Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom pledged his company’s support.

The bank had been the headline sponsor of the division one league for the past three years but decided not to renew its deal at the end of just ended season.

Ndoum made this disclosure in his speech at the inaugural Congress of the Ghana Football Coaches Association on Saturday, and spoke of his long time admiration of women’s football.

‘’Our idea was that we were going to take up the sponsorship of the women’s league. I love women’s sports and all through my life I have been helped greatly by women,” Nduom said.

”We realize there was virtually no support for the women’s game and therefore our decision.”

Ampem Darkoa are the current champions of the Women’s League after they beat Lady Strikers inn the playoff final.
