Newly promoted Ghana Premier league side Karela FC are reportedly on the verge of signing former Aduana duo of Godfred Saka and Stephen Adams ahead of the new Ghana Premier League season.
The two players are currently out of contract after their contracts with the league champions expired at the end of last season.
Saka who captained the Dormaa based side to the second league title last season was close to joining Nigerian giants Enyimba FC late last year before the deal eventually fell through.
Management member of Karela, Eric Alajidede has confirmed the development to Citi-Sports and says talks with both players are in the final stages.
“We’ve had discussions with both players, and we intend to sign them to boost our league chances next season. We are not only looking at coming to the league and being relegated the following season,” he said.
“We want to stay in the league for as long as possible and that is why we are going for these experienced hands. They are both free agents and we are deep into discussions with the two.”
Karela are preparing to take part in the GHALCA G8 tournament which starts on January 6.
