The three players vying for the 2017 CAF AITEO Player of the Year award- Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang- will be in Accra this afternoon and will address the media ahead of tonight’s CAF Awards Gala at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Mane and Salah will be flown in on a private jet organised by their club, Liverpool, and they will be taken back to England after the event.

Liverpool face Everton on Friday at 2000 GMT in an Emirates FA Cup 3rd round match.

Aubameyang, on the other hand, does not have such pressing matters to deal with since the German Bundesliga will resume on January 12.

His Dortmund side takes on Wolfsburg on January 14.
