Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has revealed that he does not miss playing for the Black Stars after being constantly overlooked by head coach Kwesi Appiah.
Badu, 27, has not played for the Black Stars since Kwesi Appiah returned to the national team with his last stint coming in the Africa Cup of Nations a year ago in Gabon.
Asked if he missed playing for the national team, the Udinese midfielder, on loan at Turkish side Bursaspor responded: “Not that much. But I’m a Ghanaian so every time I’m ready to help the nation whenever they call me.”
“It’s the national team and whoever is there deserves to be there. And it’s the coach’s decision when it comes to who plays for the national team.
“For now, I’m concentrating on my club level, and after the season ends in May, we will see what happens,” he told Ghanasoccernet.
Badu has made 76 appearances for the Black Stars since making his debut in 2008 and has scored eleven goals.
