English Championship side Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Ghana international Daniel Amartey on loan from Leicester.
Amartey has been deemed surplus to requirements having made just four appearances for the foxes all season.
According to reports in the Telegraph, Villa Voss Steve Bruce has identified Amartey as one of his targets this window in view of boosting his defensive options.
Villa are restricted by Financial Fair Play rules in January but have the budget to sign two players on loan for the remainder of the season.
Villa are reportedly seeking to seal a loan deal in January in view of making the deal permanent in the summer.
Amartey‘s future at Leicester has been thrown in doubt in recent weeks with the Foxes said to be pursuing fellow Ghanaian Daniel Opare as a possible replacement for Amartey.
