Ghanaian international Daniel Opare has dismissed reports of a possible transfer to Leicester City saying he is not pushing to leave Bundesliga club Augsburg in this January transfer window.
The 27 year old right back has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League side Leicester City as well as Stoke City , but he has reiterated his desire to stay with the Bundesliga outfit.
“These are just rumours. I have no reason to go now. I’m happy here and feel at home,” he told africanfootball.com.
Opare even went on to reveal that he is focusing on landing a new deal with Augsburg.
“My advisor and my big brother take care of these things. They are in good talks with FC Augsburg,” he added.
“I’m ready to extend my contract and I’d be glad to be able to play here for several more years.”
After initial struggles at Augsburg, Opare has rediscovered the form which saw him land a deal at Real Madrid earlier in his career.
He played 14 times in the league racking up 1193 minutes in the process.
