Swansea City have reportedly cooled their interest in West Ham forward Andre Ayew due to their inability to meet his wage demands.
Ayew, 28, excelled for Swansea following a 2015 move from Marseille, scoring 12 goals in his first Premier League season before earning a then record move to West Ham.
The Ghanaian has since struggled to live up to his £20m price tag and West Ham are reportedly willing to offload the forward as part of a deal to bring in Swansea center back Alfie Mawson.
But according to reports from Wales Online, Ayew’s current £100,000 weekly package at West Ham has caused Swansea to turn their attention to Cameroonian power forward Vincent Aboubakar.
A move to Swansea would see Ayew reunite with his younger brother Jordan for the first time since their time together at Marseille.
