FC Lorient forward Majeed Waris looks set to snub a move to French Ligue 1 side Caen in favour of a move to Portuguese giants Porto.
Caen and Lorient have reportedly agreed a loan deal for the Ghana international, but Porto are reportedly still in the hunt for the player.
According to reports in Ouest France, Porto’s offer for the 26 year old doesn’t meet the French side’s valuation of the player, and Waris’s representatives have received a better offer in the Caen deal, therefore are putting pressure on the Ghanaian international to join the Normandy club.
However, the striker is still yet to agree personal terms with Caen, as the prospect of playing in the Champions League seems to be steering him towards choosing Porto.
Waris will be eligible to play in the Champions League for Porto, who have a round of 16 clash against Liverpool looming, should he opt for the move to Portugal.
An ultimate decision is expected in the next 48 hours.
