French Ligue 1 side Caen are reportedly set to intensify their pursuit of Ghana forward Patrick Twumasi after missing out on their first choice target Majeed Waris.
Caen last week agreed a deal with Lorient for the services of Waris, only for the 26 year old to reject the deal in favour of a move to FC Porto.
According to reports in French newspaper Quest France, the Normandy club has now set their sights on fellow Ghanaian Twumasi as a possible alternative.
Caen are desperately in need of attacking reinforcements after managing just 14 goals in this season’s league campaign.
The FC Astana man has been in fine form for his side this season for the Kazakhstan club, scoring 9 goals in 12 games in European Competitions.
Turkish side Bursaspor have also expressed interest in the Ghanaian in recent times.
