Watford FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of forward Gerard Deulofeu from FC Barcelona until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old Spanish international has made 17 appearances for Barça this campaign, scoring twice.
An exciting winger who can play off either flank, Deulofeu has Premier League experience from two spells on Merseyside with Everton, originally on loan for the 2013/2014 season, and then for a further two-year permanent stint between 2015 and 2017.
Deulofeu, who has also taken in loans at Sevilla and AC Milan, graduated from Barça’s famed La Masia Academy, making his debut for the club aged just 17.
A well-decorated youth cap, he made his full debut for the Spanish national team in 2014 in a friendly against Bolivia.
Deulofeu is eligible to play a part against Stoke City on Wednesday evening having completed his move before Tuesday’s midday deadline.
