Ghana’s Habib Ahmed will face defending champion Gilberto Ramirez of Mexico for the WBO Super Middleweight title in the United States on Saturday, February 3 in the United States.
The bout will be the first professional bout outside Ghana for Ahmed since he turned professional in 2011 after the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
For Ramirez the champion, facing Ahmed amounts to his 3rd defence of the title he won in 2016 after defeating then-champion, Arthur Abraham of Germany.
Both fighters go into the bout with an undefeated streak in their careers so far.
Ramirez in undefeated in 36 fights with 24 of those victories coming via knockout while Ahmed is 22-0 with 17 knockouts.
The bout will take place at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
