Ghana’s sole representative in the Winter Games, Akwasi Frimpong, today finished 26th in the first men’s practice session of the Skeleton event.
Frimpong recorded a time of 53.72 seconds in his run. He was 2.80 seconds behind the fastest on the day, Christophe Gretheer from Germany.
All the athletes in the skeleton event will have five more practice runs before the main heat on Thursday after which the top 20 times will make it to the medal event on Friday.
Frimpong’s participation in the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea is supported by Cocoa From Ghana.
