Aduana Stars head coach, Yusif Abubakar, says he is focused on getting the needed result on Wednesday against Al-Tahaddy of Libya in the return leg of the CAF Champions League qualifiers first round.
After losing the first leg by a lone goal, the Ghana Premier League champions need to win by 2-0 or higher to make it to the next round of the qualifiers.
Abubakar says he and his players have been preparing to get things right in the second leg so they can get into the next stage.
“What I can say is that, we have prepared for Wednesday. In the first leg, we played with some attacking intent and we will push even more in the second.
We will make sure that we will take the chances when we create them. We are aware that they will welcome back Ahmed Muftawu, their main striker. He was with the Libyan team in the CHAN tournament. We will prepare for him.
I have been keeping an eye on him and we will make sure that he does not cause any damage to us on Wednesday.”
Success for Aduana Stars will set them up for a second round clash with either ES Setif of Algeria or Olympique Real De Bangui of Central African Republic.
Meanwhile, big hitters like Mamelodi Sundowns, Etoile du Sahel and Al Ahly will enter the competition in the next round.
