Ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup first round second leg clash with CARA in Brazzaville on Wednesday, Asante Kotoko suffered some intimidation from the home team’s officials and fans on Tuesday.

The said incident took place when the team was getting ready for their mandatory training session at the match venue.

The team’s bus was sprayed with waste from pigs and other materials and therefore, was not usable for the journey from the team’s hotel to the stadium.

Kotoko were given two vehicles by the Ghana Mission in Congo Brazzaville for them to head to the stadium for the training session.

The acts of intimidation continued at the stadium and according to reports, Ghanaian journalists who traveled with the team were denied accreditation and they were subsequently warned not to report on the match.

The acts of the CARA officials and fans were captured by the Asante Kotoko Twitter handle.

Kotoko lead 1-0 from the first leg and they will have to avoid defeat if they will make it to the next round of the competition.

The prize for getting through the first round will be a clash with either Ben Guerdane of Tunisia or Al Hilal Juba of South Sudan.
