CARA got their goal in the 41st minute but they twice conceded to Kotoko only for the goals to be ruled out for offside.
In the shootout, Kotoko goalie, Felix Annan, was the first play to take a kick and he managed to score. He went on to save the first kick from CARA.
Awudu Nafiu, Yakubu Mohammed, and Wahab Adams all found the net to send the shootout into sudden death where Jordan Opoku and Baba Mahama had success from the spot.
However, Obed Owusu, Amos Frimpong, Owusu Jackson and Kwame Boahene missed their kicks at different times in the shootout to hand the Congolese victory.
