Former Liberty Professional forward, Latif Blessing, scored the second goal for Los Angeles FC in their 5-1 win over Real Salt Lake on Saturday in the MLS.
Blessing tapped home from close range to give the side a 2-1 lead in the 33rd minute. He played 84 minutes in total was subbed by Tristan Blackmon when the game was safely in the bag.
The match was Blessing’s second league match since he joined the team in the off-season.
Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah both played 90 minutes for Columbus Crew as they beat Motreal Impact 3-2. Crew needed a late penalty from Gyasi Zardes to settle the tie which was played at the MAPFRE Stadium.
In Italy, Kwadwo Asamoah played 90 minutes for Juventus in their 2-0 win over Udinese. After not getting a starting berth in the Champions League tie against Tottenham during the week, the former Udinese man got to face his former team from the beginning of the match.
Afriyie Acquah played 80 minuted as Torino lost 3-0 to AS Roma. The match was Acquah’s 14th of the league season.
Alfred Duncan started and lasted 64 minutes for Sassuolo as they drew 1-1 with SPAL.
In England, Andre Ayew played 73 minutes for Swansea City in their goalless draw with Huddersfield Town. He was forced to lead the attack on his own after his brother, Jordan, was sent off in the 11th minute.
Thomas Partey was an unused sub for Atletico Madrid as they put three goals past Celta Vigo on Sunday.
