New Head Coach of Liberty Professionals, Reginald Asante Boateng, believes it will take time for his side to settle into the speed of the Ghana Premier League, after they were handed a footballing lesson in their first league outing of the season at the hands of WAFA in Dansoman.
Asante Boateng’s side clearly seemed out of sorts despite showing glimpses of the attacking football he promised when taking the job.
Black Starlets duo of Aminu Mohammed and Richard Danso scored a goal each with Charles Boateng adding another as WAFA run away 3-1 winners on the day.
Asante Boateng is positive the situation will turn around with time despite the defeat.
“I am a little disappointed, but happy because this is WAFA’s second game and only our first, so it will take time. It’s not over yet,” he said.
“The only down side is that it was a home loss, but there is going to be a wakeup call and we will come back better in our next game.”
Liberty are currently bottom of the Ghana Premier League table.
